About Quick Serve Kids, a Backgrounder

QSMama

Also known as Lea or Mommy. Creator and chief writer for Quick Serve Kids. An erstwhile magazine editor and marketing director, now a freelance writer and editor and full-time mother and wife. Find out more about my background or drop me an e-mail.

Baby A

America's youngest restaurant critic, though she doesn't know it yet, and the best thing The Wonderful Husband and I have ever done, separately or apart. She (yes, she) is two years old, meaning she's not so babyish any more.

The Wonderful Husband

Also called TWH, especially when my fingers are tired. TWH is my closest friend, an amazing father, a hot-to-trot drummer and fellow lover of music, and generally an irreplaceable font of support, laughter, and fun.

Quick serves

Also called fast-food restaurants. Need more info? Or perhaps some industry news?

Quicksies

These are the Quick Serve Kids, kids growing up in the age of the chain restaurant. Because we're raising Quicksies, it's our job to help them learn to make smart decisions in this age of readily available, not always good-for-ya food. That's what Quick Serve Kids is all about.

Raleigh

Capital of North Carolina, hometown of QSK, burgeoning cultural scene, and, of late, one of the most popular test sites for expanding chain restaurant concepts. Mmmmm, lucky us.

The Bungalow

Our to-die-for-cute 1920 home nestled into a hillside historic neighborhood.

I'll be introducing more Quick Serve Kids contributors before long. Like all good things, this is a collaborative effort. Many thanks to the family members, friends, and other givers of advice who have helped get this site launched.
