An Online Food Advisor
Just a brief thought for this evening. Try taking this questionnaire. It's a short quiz that shows how many of the world's healthiest foods you're taking in each day, personalized for your age, gender, and the region where you live.
Then think about how many of those powerful ingredients are available on quick-serve menus. The meats are, for sure. But greens? Fruits? Nuts? Avocadoes? Only recently have those foods found their way onto quick-serve menus, and then not in large quantities. It's progress, though.
I guess that's the challenge we face.

Comments
I have to call BS on this survey. The lists of food are fairly limited. After going through my analysis, this survey indicated a lack of vitamins B12 and D. I have to say that between my intake of spinach and milk, that is more than likely not the case.
Funny thing is, the recommendations said I should eat more spinach. WHAT?? I eat spinach almost daily, and not the boiled crap they recommended, but fresh with all the nutrients still intact. And I don't think crimini mushrooms are a daily must-have in a diet -- or asparagus for that matter. (I do eat asparagus, but I must admit that I wait for it to be on sale before I will buy it. I hate the canned stuff and only buy it fresh, which can be pricey.) The nutrients found there are sure to be in other foods. It made me wonder if the mushroom, asparagus and spinach growers sponsored this survey. LOL
Just my two cents...

Yeah, what is it with crimini mushrooms?
Plus, this survey said I'm getting about 76 percent of everything I need every day, when I, for one, know my diet has been craptastic lately. If biscotti and caffeine were food groups, then maybe I'd be near 80 percent.
Sadly, they are not.
I was withholding my results pending some feedback. Let's hear more. Anyone else think this survey is a little whack?
