Interesting Little Tidbits

Just tossing up a couple of news tidbits over this (U.S.) holiday weekend:
Coke Goes Hot—According to this report, Coca-Cola is readying a global test of hot beverages, served from vending machines. The Toronto market should soon see the new line of drinks, called Far Coast.
Crispy Honey Chicken for Kids—Pick-Up Stix, a chain with 124 units in the western United States, will offer a kids' meal version of its Crispy Honey Chicken limited-time offer. Made with white-meat chicken that's battered and wok-seared in a honey sauce, the dish will be available in September and October.
(And there's a spicy version for adults or the more adventurous kids.) Read the full news release here.

My husband and I have a running joke about boiled coke. I'll have to show him this news item.
(It's not funny in the retelling, as is the way with all injokes, but it stems from a laugh we had about "boiled wool" which is how the Brits used to refer to some felted wool coats. We joked that they boiled everything: potatoes, roasts of beef, coke...)
